The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Partners in Philanthropy Luncheon will take place Wednesday, Nov. 7, at the Midwest Airlines Center in downtown Milwaukee.
The event, which is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., recognizes National Philanthropy Day by giving five awards to philanthropic partners in the Milwaukee area. The luncheon also gives AFP members an opportunity to recognize partners that have been involved with their nonprofit organizations, including donors, volunteers and staff members.
The award recipients at this year's luncheon will include:
- The Evan P. Helfaer Donor Award - Vincent and Jan Martin.
- The Tood Wehr Volunteer Award - Donna and Anthony Meyer.
- The Leave-A-Legacy Award - Harry Henke.
- The Wisconsin Organizational Philanthropy Award - Associated Bank.
- The Scott Cutlip Professional Fundraiser Award - James M. Unglaube.
The AFP is an individual member association, advances philanthropy through education, training and advocacy based on research, a code of ethical principles and standards of professional practice.
The Greater Milwaukee Chapter of AFP has more than 350 members representing local cultural, social service and education institutions.
