Sartori Food Corp. in Antigo will receive $550,000 in Enterprise Development Zone Credits from the Wisconsin Department of Commerce to help the company retain 110 employees of the former Antigo Cheese Co.
Sartori, a supplier of specialized ingredients, flavors and services to the foodservice, food ingredient and specialty markets, purchased the assets of Antigo Cheese in July.
"The decision by Sartori Food Corp. to purchase the assets of Antigo Cheese Co. will help the company meet existing demand for block and wheel cheese and is a natural extension to its product offerings," said Mary Burke, secretary of the Department of Commerce. "I applaud Sartori Food Corp. for retaining the Antigo jobs and continuing to invest in Wisconsin's workforce."
