The Milwaukee Private Industry Council (PIC) has completed its move to its new home at 2342 N. 27th St. Gerard Randall, president and chief executive officer of PIC, and Milwaukee County Executive Scott Walker recently held a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the building. The relocation to the north side facility from its former office in the Schlitz Park office complex will save the organization more than $1 million annually in leased costs, Randall said. “Having our administrative services under one roof will save money and enable us to better serve our clients because we will be able to address their needs from one central location,†Randall said. Earlier this year, Walker signed a resolution to guarantee a $1 million loan that enabled the PIC to buy and improve the building. PIC previously leased space in the building, which also houses its REACH program for out-of-school youth. “The Private Industry Council will save money by no longer paying rent at two locations, and by purchasing the building, PIC will receive additional revenue from the rents it collects from businesses that operate out of that facility,†Walker said. “Located in the heart of the community, it is ideally situated for the youth they serve.â€
