LBWN Executive Breakfast

Layton Boulevard West Neighbors, Inc. celebrated the neighborhood development progress it has made in the last two decades during its 2015 Executive Breakfast, held March 19 at Alverno College. The event, in its ninth year, highlighted LBWN's 20th anniversary while also calling attention to the nonprofit's pool of stakeholders. LBWN, founded by the School Sisters of St. Francis, has leveraged more than $40 million in neighborhood investments throughout its history. The breakfast event included networking, remarks from community leaders and public officials, and a panel discussion featuring insight from neighborhood residents.   more »

Sweetheart Fashion Show

Waukesha nonprofit Safe Babies Healthy Families Inc. recently hosted the Sweetheart Fashion Show & Luncheon at the Milwaukee Marriott West in Waukesha. The event, which also included a raffle and silent auction, raised money for the organization, which works to ensure safe and healthy children through education, support and resources.   more »

M-WERC open member meeting

The Mid-West Energy Research Consortium held an open member meeting at Potawatomi Hotel & Casino on Jan. 22. The event addressed innovative technologies and best practices to convert organic waste into energy. Along with presentations, networking and a luncheon, the meeting gave attendees a chance to tour Potawatomi’s new bio-digester facility or explore the hotel and casino’s energy efficiency features.   more »
