Experience the Elegance of the Renaissance! Join families, friends and members of the community at Milwaukee Montessori School’s Annual Gala, an annual fundraising event to benefit the school and its innovative academic programs.

The evening will begin with a cocktail reception, followed by dinner and entertainment by the Phil Seed Trio. Guests will enjoy outstanding cuisine provided by Zilli’s catering, a silent auction and an exciting live auction featuring a catalog of one-of-a kind experiences, travel excursions and exclusive specialty packages.

Last year’s event was highly successful, netting more than $45,000 to support the future of the MMS students. Family and community support helps fund MMS’s academic programs including the fine arts, technology and athletics as well as tuition assistance and green initiatives.

Founded in 1961, Milwaukee Montessori School is a private, independent, co-educational elementary day school educating over 400 students from toddlers through eighth grade.

Innovation Immersion Workshop

This two-day workshop is designed to immerse you in the entire innovation lifecycle, from establishing the business imperative of innovation in the 21st century all the way through to marketplace launch. You will experience futures analysis tools to provide a different context for ideation, use some different ideation tools that will stretch your thinking, and examine the hard work that goes into taking an "innovative idea" to market. Topics in innovation management will also be explored such as the impact of culture and organization, and Stage-Gate® and portfolio management processes.

Each topic will include hands-on experiential exercises to enhance the learning process. Be prepared to be engaged and involved during the full two days. For maximum impact, the workshop can be tailored as a custom-designed, on-site program specifically to address your particular customers, capabilities, and opportunities

Continuing Studies and Outreach offers a five-day Project Management Lead Certificate, which is the second of two certificate programs available for project management. This certificate program is based on the Project Management Institute’s (PMI) PMBOK® Process Groups and Knowledge areas. It will teach you and your organization the essential knowledge and skills to lead and direct successful project teams. This course also qualifies as the eligibility requirement for those individuals pursuing the PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) credential. The course instructors are MSOE Rader School of Business faculty who possess extensive project management experience in addition to the latest techniques for adult learning.

The Project Management Lead Certificate is directed at individuals who will lead and direct project teams. Successful companies recognize that project management is crucial in today’s high-paced business environment. Project managers must deal with compressed schedules, numerous and diverse stakeholders, limited budgets, and an increasingly diverse and global environment.

Shully's Flight Night

Mayfair Rotary Easter Egg Hunt

HR Legislative Conference

Description: The Wisconsin State Council of SHRM and the Milwaukee Society of Human Resource Management will be hosting their Annual State Legislative Conference in Milwaukee on April 24. The Conference targets HR professionals and those with HR responsibilities.

Presentations include state and federal law updates, the status of the Family and Medical Leave Act, an update on State administrative policies affecting employment, especially related to workforce development, and an update on legislative actions from the recently-ended legislative session in Wisconsin.

Featured speakers include Attorney Bob Gregg, Attorney Kris Hanson, Attorney John Murray, DWD Secretary Reggie Newson, State Representative Dan Knodl, and WMC's Chris Reader.

E-cycle Drive

Description: IndependenceFirst will host an e-cycle drive on Saturday, April 26 in the Pettit National Ice Center parking lot, 500 S. 84th St., Milwaukee. The e-waste collection will run from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. IndependenceFirst is partnering with AT&T, River Run Computers, Digital Recyclers, Rocket Clicks and the Pettit Center for this great event.

All computer donations will benefit the Computer Recycling Program at IndependenceFirst, a volunteer-driven program benefitting people with disabilities by providing them with a free computer. In addition to computers, other items such as large appliances, TVs and other electrical equipment will be accepted.
