Event Time: 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM

Description: The Toastmasters Club is proud to be celebrating its 5th Anniversary on April 1st.
The club is the local chapter of Toastmasters International, a non-profit educational organization with over 14,000 clubs in 122 countries. Toastmasters’ organizations help members become more confident leaders by recognizing that good leaders tend to be good communicators.
First formed in April of 2010, the Smokey’s Sensations club began as a USDA Forest Service corporate club and is now one of the only public clubs in the downtown Milwaukee area. The group meets the first and third Wednesday at 12:00 p.m. in the Historic Gas Light Building main level conference room. You can find club meeting information on www.meetup.com search ‘speaking’ in the Milwaukee, WI area.
Members practice both formal and impromptu speaking before other members and develop leadership skills by chairing meetings or taking on other roles. Members may choose a communication track, a leadership track, or both. Participants progress at their own pace through a guided curriculum, receiving constructive feedback from other members along the way.
Membership in the Smokey’s Sensations Toastmasters Club is open to all interested parties. Toastmaster Club dues are $42.00 and a $10 club fee every six months.
