Adult Learning Center Golf Classic

On Friday, July 18, 2014 the Adult Learning Center will host its 2014 Inaugural Golf Classic at the Silver Spring Country Club in Menomonee Falls, WI. The event will feature 18 holes of golf, a luncheon, silent auction, and various raffles throughout the day.

The Adult Learning Center, located in central Milwaukee, provides motivated adults with basic education, life-long learning opportunities and resources to transform their lives and contribute to their communities, in the spirit of the teachings of Jesus Christ and the principles of social justice. Offering a personalized approach to education, the Adult Learning Center has been meeting the educational needs of our students for over thirty-four years, resulting in over 350 successful GED completion graduates. Wheels & Heels Rush on Festa 5K run/roll 2014

Description: Now in our 27th year the NSCIA-SWC (The National Spinal Cord Injury Association - Southeastern Wisconsin Chapter) presents the Wheels & Heels Rush on Festa which includes a 5k wheelchair/hand-cycling race; a 5k run and a fun walk/casual wheelchair race. The event was created as a means of raising public awareness of disability issues and to generate funds to support our programs and to assist individuals with spinal cord injuries or disorders to become more independent. In addition a portion of funds raised goes towards funding seed grants for research in a continuing effort to provide hope and find a cure for paralysis.
