Wisconsin Sustainable Business Council Conference

Our conference is the largest gathering of business leaders interested in sustainability. This year our keynote speaker will be Matt Levatich, President of Harley Davidson, talking about Harley Davidson’s sustainability journey. In addition, we offer a total of eight breakout sessions, from which attendees can choose two, detailing specifics of how companies are working toward their missions of sustainability. Five University of Wisconsin-Madison students plan the Conference under the Executive Director Tom Eggert. In addition, after the event the planning team purchases carbon offsets to truly make this a sustainable conference!

An Evening of Readings and Carols

Description: Concert Choir, the premier ensemble of Milwaukee Children’s Choir, will perform An Evening of Readings and Carols at 7:00 p.m. Saturday, December 13, 2014 in the candlelit atmosphere of the Cathedral Church of All Saints.

Joined by the Milwaukee Handbell Ensemble under the direction of Dr. John Behnke and organist Christopher Berry, the concert will feature a number of works by English composers William Mathias and John Rutter. The angelic voices of Milwaukee Children’s Choir welcome in the holiday season with extravagant musical bliss, captivating poetry and audience sing-a-longs.

Artistic Director Marco Melendez comments, “We are delighted to collaborate with the Milwaukee Handbell Ensemble in an evening of splendid music and cheer. We will invite audience members to join in song with traditional holiday carols.”

Winter Wonderland

Description: Celebrate the holiday season with Milwaukee Children’s Choir in their Winter Wonderland concert and accompanying silent auction at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 14, at United Methodist Church of Whitefish Bay.

Join the entire student body of Milwaukee Children’s Choir as they celebrate with family and friends during this annual holiday performance! This family concert will feature choristers from 1st grade through Milwaukee Children’s Choir’s veteran 12th grade choristers. Come and welcome in the holiday season with Milwaukee Children’s Choir!

“This will be the first time Milwaukee Children's Choir performs in the lovely United Methodist Church of Whitefish Bay. Featuring our youngest performers, the Prelude Choir, to our most veteran singers of Milwaukee Youth Chorale, this performance will enlighten the hearts of all present as we welcome in the holiday season!” says Marco Melendez, Artistic Director of Milwaukee Children’s Choir.

Each year, Milwaukee Children’s Choir holds a silent auction during the holiday concert to benefit its music education programs. The auction features a variety of themed gift baskets assembled by each individual choir.
